This 12” wheel thrown jar has a very tight fitting, doubled-walled lid. The lid makes this jar perfect for storing coffee beans, tea, herbs, dog treats, etc!

I glazed the inside Amber Celadon and the outside was sprayed with Shino. This piece has gorgeous drips in one area of the shoulder from the wood ash that circulates during the firing. So juicy, what a treat!

This piece was fired in a noborigama kiln in Phippsburg, Maine in September. The 36-hour firing required continuous tending of the fire, teamwork, lost sleep, and a willingness to be uncomfortable—effort that ultimately brought these pots to life! The kiln reached roughly 2,400. The experience was nothing short of magical and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity.
